One of my best memories of childhood was going to a diner/café
in Vinita, Oklahoma, with my grandfather, his wife, and my dad. Spending time with my grandfather is
something I’ll always treasure, and since I had my very first cherry limeade at
the restaurant (Clara’s Café – go check it out if you’re ever in Vinita!),
cherry limeade has always held a soft place in my heart.
That’s why, when I was looking through the website for Puff
Vapor out of Las Vegas, I was over the moon to see they had a cherry limeade.
Puff Vapor is a juice line made and sold out of Las Vegas,
Nevada. They have a traditional brick
& mortar store there on the strip, wholesale to lots of vape shops all over
the country (which is how I first learned about them – but that’s another story
for another review), AND they have a website from which you can order their
entire line. Since I was already in love
with a couple of their juices, I decided I had to order their cherry limeade to
give it a try.
I cannot understate how excited I was to try this
juice. I immediately had to open the
bottle in the car when I picked it up at the post office, and I was very
encouraged by the aroma – it was a true cherry limeade. The limeade smell wasn’t artificial, like
something cooked up in a lab for a big corporation. It was just like someone had squeezed the
limes in their kitchen to make a batch of limeade to enjoy on a hot summer day.
Of course, I had to try a bit before I went home as
well. Trying just a drop on my finger, I
immediately noticed that great limeade flavor first off but the cherry flavor
was there as a strong supporting flavor – just like it is in a really good cherry
limeade.
When I got home, I put some fresh cotton in my RDA and
juiced it up really well with this new find.
Firing off my mod at 50 watts, the air was filled with that great cherry
limeade smell. It was like going back in
time to that dinner with my grandfather.
On that first inhale, I first tasted the cherry in the
juice, but it wasn’t an artificial candy flavor – it was straight up maraschino
cherry. Though, once the juice hit the
back of my throat, I could taste the limeade kick in.
The exhale, though, it was nothing but cherry limeade.
I only had two minor problems with this juice. Puff Vapor’s Cherry Limeade is like a lot of
citrus-based juices – there is a definite throat hit from the lime flavoring
they use. It’s not unpleasant and it’s
certainly not something that put me off the juice, but it is definitely there.
Also, this is not a juice to vape at higher wattages. Once I increased above 75 watts, the flavor
changed a bit and became somewhat harsh.
All in all, this juice is pretty good. If you love a good cherry limeade (like I
do), I encourage you to order some. You’ll
be amazed with the flavor!
